Pumpkin Spiced and Iced Cookies

2 1/4 cups flour
1 1/2 teas. pumpkin pie spice
1 teas. baking powder
1/2 teas. baking soda
1/2 teas. salt
1 cup (2 sticks butter) soft
1 cup sugar
1 can pure pumpkin
2 large eggs
1 teas. vanilla extract
2 cups chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts
vanilla glaze ( recipe follows )
Preheat oven to 375..Grease baking sheets
Combine flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking powder, soda and salt in medium bowl. Beat butter and sugar in large bowl until creamy. Beat in pumpkin, eggs and vanilla extract. Graually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chips and nuts. Drop by Tablespoon onto prepared sheet.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool . Spread or drizzle with vanilla glaze. (makes about 5 1/2 dozen cookies)
VANILLA GLAZE: 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 to 1 1/2 T milk and 1/2 teas. vanilla. Mix well. These are sooooooo good!

I have been back and forth today from working on more ornaments...to laundry....to baking...I guess you could call it "multi-tasking"....I never get bored just doing one thing! It's been dismal...foggy...and misty outside...but I see the sun trying to peek through the clouds...I did have to take a quick break and run to get (still) more boxes for the little ornaments...but I wanted something a little bigger than a matchbox....finally I spotted them!!! Raisin boxes!!!! they work perfect!

More cookies, you have to be the Queen of Cookies! I like pumpkin, I made a really good pumpkin cheese cake a couple of weeks ago..I might try these.
