November Day
An and I went for a nice little drive yesterday...on the way to the post office we stopped at one of the local apple barns...I snapped a photo of this persimmon tree
....which reminded me that persimmon cookies are one of my Dad's favorites...so I will be baking some of those soon. I also got a few things at the thrift store...some cool old Christmas books...and some old Christmas cookie molds for shortbread...a few old ornaments...and a box of old cards...all for 8.00.I'm making some Christmas ornaments today...and working on various projects...I haven't been able to post anything because most of what I'm doing are for "surprises" for people, and I don't want them to see them here first! Today is a perfect day to work in the studio...we have a nice fire in the fireplace...so it's warm and cozy...it's raining outside. The cookies posted below are some of my families favorites....hope everyone has a warm and cozy weekend! Tony and Ty just pulled into the yard...think I'll get Ty to bake some cookies with me!

Your beautiful photo reminded me of the persimmon tree that was in our yard (when I lived in California). There was also a grapefruit orchard just down the street. I used to pick them all the time. It was so nice.
Fun phone call. Yak yak yak. Oh, Annie said on my blog "Tell your cuz we need to arrange a meet-up." We should all 3 meet in Rancho for lunch and JoAnn's shopping. Would be way fun. Maybe before the season consumes every waking minute for you 2.
