A "SPA" in a book.........

A wonderful thick altered book from my friend Grace who lives in Florida....the theme of the book "taking time out for yourself"...every other page she attached packets of bubble bath...foot creams....facial masks and mud packs...fragrant body lotions..... etc.Grace runs a Day Spa from her home in Jacksonville. WOW !!!!!!! My Book is Home!

I am so excited! My beautiful book that has been traveling all over the world is finally home...it's been making the rounds since last June. Seven of us (including me) worked on this round robin. Patti...Tricia...Tina....Debbi....Fiona....and Jo....thank-you all so much for weaving your fabulous magic in my book...it's awesome! and I will treasure this always !!!!!!!! These were done by the talented Patti Gramza...on the first page Patti used greens and oranges with ribbon and buttons...fabric and flowers...page number two layered fabric and paper done in blues and greens with beads and flowers...Patti you rock! Thank-you!

These awesome pages were done by Tricia Scott....the first page is done in light yellow-orange with an old vintage photo of a woman...whose dress she embellished...she is holding three strings with butterflies at the end of them...page number 2 is a beautiful transparency...with the butterfly in the middle of her forehead....Thank-you Tricia!

These 2 beautiful pages were done by Tina Shoaga....the first page is in dark pinks....fabric...ribbon...netting and paper...page number 2 is done with lovely colors of blue...with lace...I love her blue eyes! Thank-you Tina!

Debbi Baker did these lovely pages...in pinks and orange...dark green and blues...they have old vintage photos...fabric....buttons and beaded trim with buttons...the beaded trim hangs over the page and adds the perfect touch...thank-you Debbi!

Winter Storm

I took this photo on Friday afternoon...right in the middle of a very bad storm....sometimes we have power....sometimes we have no phone service (which affects the computer)...we've been turning it off due to power surges...everything is a mess....the high winds caused many limbs and branches to fall...which are scattered everywhere....sometimes it snows....then turns to heavy rain...it's a total 'mud pit' out in the yard....we are getting a break today...but its cloudy and dark...another storm is due tomorrow....the wind was so strong that the huge old pine trees were swaying and singing in the wind....which I love...I sat outside all bundled up on the back porch watching mother nature do her thing....
I'm taking down the Christmas tree today...wrapping each glass ornament in tissue.....hope all my California friends weathered the storm okay........I know lots of people are still without power.

This Marilyn Monroe poster was under the tree for me from Tony....Dawn and Ty.....they know I LIKE her.....I'm going to buy a frame for it this week.....
