Good Memories

I think many of us can relate to this....I know I can...it happens all the time to me! I've been wrapping gifts this morning...and while sitting at the table full of paper....ribbon...bows...boxes... scissors....etc. it brought back such wonderful memories of wrapping gifts with my Mom....We would both sit at the kitchen table...loaded with all the supplies...and wrap presents for hours...we'd talk...and laugh...share a cup of tea and eat cookies... listen to Christmas music.....I miss you Mom! I know you were with me this morning.....
I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season...and not getting too stressed....XXXOOO

At first, when my hands starting looking like my mothers, it bothered me...Now I look at those old hand, the large veins, and think how much these hands have been privileged to do and I like my old "mother's hands". Thank you for a wonderful post and a memory of my mom too.

This was such a nice post Vicci. I miss my mom too. She is still here with me. I have been thinking a lot about her, wanting to spend more time with her. I need to do that. I need that. Time (life) has a way to busy us and let people that are special to us slip through the minutes.

(((Hugging you)))
Your mom is with you and being a mom, I know that she is proud of you for being such a good and devoted daughter and for the person that you are.

I love old hands! I think they show character. Even the age spots which I'm less than thrilled about, but not going to buy the cream and put it on. What a lot of work, just to pretend. I'm not that into pretending. I like to think I'm real in the "Velveteen Rabbit" sense. Old hands are a part of it.

I think we all miss our loved ones who've passed on and are waiting for us.
