ALL YOU BEAUTIFUL WOMEN !!!!!!!!!!!!

I heard on the news that the percentage of women who are getting mammograms has gone DOWN! This is terrible! It should be going UP! So...PLEASE EVERYONE...remember to get your mammograms! Early detection is the key! Don't think for one minute that "it can't happen to you".....It can! I have friends who are dealing with breast cancer...plus my Sweet Mom died of breast cancer in 2000....I'd give anything to have her with me today...PLEASE GET THOSE YEARLY MAMMOGRAMS.....(Don't say you can't afford it)...most states have programs for women who can't afford this to have it done for FREE !!!!!!!
GET YOUR MAMMOGRAMS !!!!!!!

There are 6 sites. Hunger, Breast Cancer, Books for kids, Rainforest, Cats & Dogs, Endangered Animals. I have been clicking on all of them for 7 or more years now. Takes only a second of your day and if everyone did this there would be so much help given. There are lots of shoping opportunities on the site but with a bit of self control you can avoid that. But even at that, any shoping you do donates money too. And the clicking is totally free to you.

Vicci-
How true!
Self-exams are also very important. In fact, most lumps are discover by the actual patients. Very important!
Nowadays, doctors can even screen us to see if we have certain genes that pre-dispose us towards breast cancer.

Right On Vicci: One of the best investments you'll ever make, and like you said if you can't afford it or your Ins. doesn't cover...you can get a free one.
Much cancer in my family, I've been doing mam's since I was 40, and I'm way way past that now...
Good Advice.

Sound advice Vicci, and well worth the short time it takes to get it done. I am part of a breast screening program, and I get a call every two years for an appointment, so I can't forget. My next one is May 24th, I've been doing it for several years.
I will make sure to click on that site..
Hugs

Thanks for the wake-up call! My sister was diagnosed with breast cancer several months ago, and I have been procratinating about getting my mammogram. Your posting served as a great reminder and a giant "kick in my pants" to schedule my appointment. Thanks so much!

Hurrah for clicks of anykind. Today was my sweetie getting his check up on his heart by working on a treadmill. He amazed everyone. At almost79 he out did everyone else they had in there today. Evidently not his heart. Just age! I had my mammo done in the last two weeks!
