The Week...So Far........

It's been a beautiful chilly busy strange week so far.......yesterday the clouds were awesome! I finished another journal for a friend....Ty's been with me...we are getting ready to make waffles. More photos below of the week in progress.....a wonderful bunch of goodies graced my mailbox on Tuesday...from my DEAR friend, Catherine who lives in the Netherlands...Ty Mae posing with the fig tree.....and the finished journal for a tree lover....
On Tuesday I was glued to the TV watching the horrible incident that was taking place in Shingle Springs...( on the 'outskirts' of Placerville)....A domestic violence call that turned deadly...A man killed his Father, and then ambushed and shot 3 of our local deputies and a canine....they found the young man dead in some bushes at the scene....
THE WONDERFUL MIRACLE about this awful incident is that ALL the deputies 2 male and 1 female...and the canine officer "Donder" are all recovering from their wounds...and all are expected to make a FULL recovery. What an absolutely horrible thing to have happen so close to HOME in our beautiful peaceful community...my heart goes out to the family of the victims.....and my heart is overjoyed that the deputies..including Donder are all going to be okay...it's such a small community up here in the foothills... having lived here most of my life...going to school here since the 6th grade etc. it stands to reason that in some way we would know someone...that knew someone...of one of the people involved...turns out that my son's neighbor is a cousin to one of the deputies...and I went to High School with the Mother of another one of the deputies...I am so grateful they are alive and will be okay....It's so incredibly SAD when ANYTHING like this happens....I just WISH that people WOULD learn to live in PEACE and start to embrace LOVE instead of violence.....

What an awful thing to happen. I didn't hear anything about it down here. I'm glad they'll all survive and be ok.

It was not past 60ยบ yesterday and was into the 40's last night!! What is going on with the weather? In another few weeks I'll probably be wishing for some of this cool air!

Your flowers are just spectacular!

I am so happy they will all be okay. I too, have been reading and seeing on the news what they have gone through.

Now look at Ty in the tree. She just gets prettier every time I see her... she just shines!

Yes, if more people could learn to just give peace a chance they'd see that it's the only win/win option. I am so sorry for everyone impacted by the events that unfolded in your neck of the woods. It's disturbing. P&L to all of you Dear Vicci!
I listened to your CD again last night....TYSVM, I love it! It will never grow old around here.

What? I heard nothing about that shooting. I am going to check out the Bee. And I will also call my sister who lives in Mokolume Hill. I am so relieved that the deputies are going to be all right. And Donder. Bless you for including him in the gratitudes.
