I have never seen or heard of Pearl..was she yours as a child..?
I have no memory of this doll either. She is absolutely wonderful in the face. Reminds me ever so slightly of a doll I had called Bendy Wendy who was wire inside and you could bend her, including her braids. Thanks for that memory Vicci.

Wow, talk about memories. I never had a PPP doll but I sure remember her.
OMGosh....when I was growing up and would cry I was called "Pitiful Pearl"....in fact it stuck so when my nieces would cry we'd say "oh, poor pitiful pearl". WOW,I never knew there was an actual doll!
XOXO
LOL, I never had one either...but she is so cute! Do you remmeber Dressy Bessie? I never had one of those either, but played with my neighbor friends religiously. Nowadays, with Bratz dolls & such I realize how good we really had it, even with Poor Pitiful Pearl.
There she is!!!!!!!!! I love her :)
I have the 12" 1958 Brookglad Pearl. Horseman also made a 17" Pearl in 1963. My doll brings back so many childhood memories. My mother could not understand why I wanted such a homely, pitiful looking doll that Christmas but I thought she was cute and loved her. Still do!!
