My Kitchen is a mystical place. It is a place where
the sounds and odors carry meaning that transfers
from the past and bridges into the future.

I've never heard that quote before. I'll save it though because it reminds me of my mom.
Your kitchen must be huge to do all that baking! I haven't made one cookie yet! But I will. I usually make a few different ones and always the Mocha Nut Balls that I made at Thanksgiving.
Yay!! You're a beta blogger now!!
Yes, a kitchen IS a mystical place. Think of all the transformations going on: flour, oats, sugars, butter, vanilla, eggs, walnuts, golden raisins...all combining together to make a delectable cookie!
Thanks for the e-card, Vicci! Enjoy your baking day!
Janet: Her kitchen is huge. Her mother designed it and her father built it for her. There is loads of counter work space. Since I am cooking challenged, I'd use that kitchen for my studio. LOL Just teasing. Vicci I just scrolled down catching up on your blog. Girl you are wearing me out just trying to keep up with your blog, let alone the thought of doing all you do. Love you and big Hugs,
Maryellen
Merry Christmas!
I have truly enjoyed all this baking vicariously through you. I still say I've seen the finger of wonderful aromas beckoning me....and I still hear the continous sound of humming and spoons stirring, bowls being scraped. I've been feeling this through you for days. Your home IS Christmas. Sending you wishes of great joy!
XOXO
What a lucky family you have..(they know that)
So many cookies and love baked into every one..
xx
Vicci~I love that quote. Everytime I make chilli I try so hard to replicate my Gramma Lela's chilli (she took her secrets with her:()But the quote is so true, the smells & the sights always bring her right back by my side.
