The Awesome Sierra Nevada Range

An absolute....leeeeeee beautiful view...The peak to the right is Pyramid Peak. Notice all the snow? Still! This is why all the rivers, lakes and streams are so full this Summer.
The bottom photo is when the clouds were moving in...right before the thunder..rain and hail started. I looked at the temp. on the thermometer in the jeep, it was a refreshing cool 79 degrees. All I could think of was all those poor people down in the valley suffering in the heat. (it was 106) that day!
