Here are some fun facts about October...October's birthstone is Opal and Tourmaline...October's flower is Calendula...and it is National Cookie Month! Daylight Saving Time ends at 2am on October 30th.
October is a nice time of year to sky watch. Mars is the big "star" of the night sky gaining in brightness. The other neat thing is the Milky Way is now highest at nightfall. Viewers can see a spectacular slice during the moonless first week of the month.
I'm going to do more art today...run to the store...(I feel like making chili)....and take more photos...maybe start to do some dusting...(if I feel energetic)..and MAYBE wash the kitchen floor... a (BIG MAYBE there)!
