Mojito...broken leg...cool cars...and fire

What a day! Just as we were leaving to go run some errands the phone rang...it was my son. He says..."Mom, don't freak out"! (of course to me that means DO freak-out)...He says..."Ya know that little kitten".????."Well Bella (his dog) sat on him accidently of course and broke his leg". Well Geez!!!! So...Little "Dill" (that's what they named him) spent the day at the Vets...having surgery getting a cast put on his little leg...An and I drove over to see him...(pictures below)....they have to keep him in a cage for at least 5 days...but continue to hold him lots....and just give him lots of tender loving care...all to the tune of over 400.00...Little Dill is lucky he found the home that he did...lots of people would not have forked over 400.00 for a kitten....
Then as we were on our way up the hill to go to the post office we spot smoke...it looked pretty close...so we followed it...turns out is was only a few miles up the road in Smithflat..right smack in front of my Uncle's house!!! Some lame ass threw a cigarette out the window...and that's all it took. Luckily it was put out quickly by the amazing firemen that we have in this area.
When we finally got into town we saw some cool cars in the downtown parking garage...I snapped a quick photo...now it is after 8pm....I'm tired....it's been a long day...so I decided to make myself a cool refreshing drink...I've seen pictures of this drink called a "Mojito" ....looks good to me! I made one!!! It is delicious!!! and I DO NOT even drink!!! I can't tell you the last time I even HAD a drink...but this taste pretty darn good! I'll post the recipe for this yummy cocktail in the morning...besides this is my little mini vacation, and we are celebrating the 4th of July!!!

Sweating over the kitty and steaming over the idiot smoker. Just what you needed, a lovely, sweet refreshing drink. Little Dill is sure a lucky little kitty, not to mention your uncle.
