In the Beginning....
I had the most awesome weekend! Andy and I went 4-wheelin up into the wilderness of the Sierra Nevada's with my sister Button...her partner Becca...Tony...Dawn and Ty. The picture here is at the very beginning of the trip...Pryamid Peak. We went a total of 63 miles up...up...up into the high country to an elevation of 9200 ft. We started off of Highway 50 at Silverfork and made a huge circle with Cody Meadows being in the middle. The weather when we left was hot...and getting hotter by the minute...but about halfway into the trip the clouds started rolling in...thunder started...and then hail and rain...with the cool temperature of 79 degrees...it was so refreshing! The scenery was so beautiful...God's country! I remembered why we live in Northern California in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. We took a break and had a picnic at Cody Meadows...played in the mountain stream...and took lots of great photos...some which you are about to see...it took me forever to pick out some of the photos because they are all awesome...I took 134 of them! When we got back from the trip Button and Becca took us out for Chinese dinner at a place called "The Mandarin" in Pollock Pines..it was delicious! and the end to a perfect day!
