Oh Christmas Tree....Oh Christmas Tree...

It is finally done!!!! This is what I basically did all weekend! Below the tree are some pictures of some of my ornament collection...most of them are old...the little pixie is from the 50's...it was my Mom's...Remember when Hobbits were really popular? and string balls??? The little soldier boy I've had forever...Tony's ornament he made for me (Mom) in 1979...he was 8 yrs. old....my little stuffed monkey...and the Prince are old...the old glass red heart...the red bird and nest...I love all of these..each one brings back a special memory!

Well wasn't it worth the wait. This tree is gorgeous Vicci. And all the details below - leave it to you. My favorite is the close up of Santa with his glasses and all the tiny detail over his right shoulder. In the big picture of the tree I see you on the wall to the right. Merry Christmas Vicci. I bet you are nestled in admiring this beauty, in front of the huge fire place in the living room. Gorgeous. Congratulations. Job well done. Now get back to art and cooking. LOL Love you!

THIS was the tree you were meant to have, Vicci! It's stunning! Thank you for sharing closer glimpses of some of your treasured ornaments. Isn't it wonderful how they gather a history as time goes by, making tree-trimming such a celebration of family tradition? Ornaments crafted by one's children are always so special.

Yay! What a Glorious Christmas Tree! I love it, Vicci! Makes me want to sing...okay, here goes...
"O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree!
You stand in verdant beauty
Your boughs are green in summer's glow
And do not fade in winter's snow
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree!
You stand in verdant beauty!"

I haven't managed to get round the blogs as well for so long, but don't worry I hadn't forgotten you. Just too much to organise in my life at the moment, such as sorting my aged mother's life out. Love all your Christmas decorations, the little santa I think it's nearly last picture down, he is a bauble and holding a tree, I have one exactly the same, from the 1950's and my Christmas tree as a child. Like the look of those choc raspberry bars, must try them. Your tree is truly beautiful, and I love your art tree. I have a treasure branch for arty and token that people have given me. Merry Christmas
